I was at the dealership over the weekend and they had both a new XP1000 and a Maverick on the show room floor. I've seen both in person before at the dunes but never got to actually sit in either one. I sat in the XP and its a step up from my 800 for sure. Really like the adjustable seats. I'm 6'5" and with the seat all the way back, my knees weren't up in the dash like my 800. Although my legs were at an uncomfortable angle with the throttle still. I think after awhile my legs would get a bit cramped up. I then went over to the Maverick and hopped in the drivers seat. To my amazement it was extremely comfortable compared to the XP. The seats seemed alot more cushy compared to even then new XP seats. The console in between the seats its also really nice. Kinda gives your legs something to rest of while you're driving which is nice to have. Had plenty of leg clearance and the position that my leg was in to press the throttle was extremely comfortable. It was more of a pushing motion with your whole foot instead of a ankle pivoting motion if you get what i'm saying. Seemed like that was alot more comfortable to me being how tall I am. The only real downside with the Maverick was the seats seemed a little high and tilted forward but it wasn't very bad at all. Could get used to it fairly easily. And the bed space wasn't very usable and seemed flimsy. Never got to drive either one so couldn't really tell you about power and how they both stack up running wise and suspension wise but just from the interior and seating point of view the Maverick had me sold hands down. I didn't want it to be that way but my butt doesn't lie. I was just as shocked as everybody else was. I was kinda let down by the XP1000.
