First - So glad I didn't buy a 900. This thing is insane fast, so torquy, you dont have to dog it at all to be going really fast, and so plush.. soaks up the bumps bone stock. Build date is 11/4. Front diff was a little low, but not too bad. I rode 3/4 throttle or less for about 30 minutes.. then started standing on it for short bursts. Runs like a scalded dog... I can see how you could smoke a belt if you are not careful, I smelled mine a time or two but adjusted my driving accordingly.
Front drive is sort of "gritty" feeling and a little noisy when in 4WD, I hope this is normal.. I didnt spend a lot of time in 4WD. I had one electrical blip.. going slow entering a creek, hit 4wd switch.. entire machine shut down for a micro second, lights out, everything.. I think it may have also backfired a bit too.. it happened so fast that I barely noticed it.. hmmmm. Never did it again. Thoughts?
I'm 6'2, side of knee hits the door the whole ride, you dont notice it until your done and its sore as crap. Already padded that up with some pipe insulation. I wish there was the same room for the left leg as there is for the right.
Overall, super impressed with this machine. It's my first rzr. After giving the kids and family rides.. I got to moto GP this thing in the dark.. night riding is killer and I really started to get a feel for how to go fast and smooth... get the backend squirley just enough to keep it interesting but not slide it into a tree or roll it.
I'm hooked. 3.8 hours on it today. I feel like I need to do an oil change now or before 5 hours to get the break in metal out. Thoughts?
