just like title says. Literally every time i rode the rzr it broke. bike never saw mud or water and i went through the entire powertrain besides motor, all ball joints, wheel bearings, brakes, every bushing and sleeve, tie rods, steering box, transmission, front and rear diffs, 3 belts, and other stuff. i can confidently say i gave it the benefit of doubt every repair but after 8k in repairs on a 2010 machine with 115 hours and no hard riding i was done. Good luck to everyone i will stick with my slow honda rubicon with 16k miles on only oil changes. I will never own polaris again. it was very fun but after crossing the 20 grand mark i couldnt enjoy it as we were scared it would strand us in the mountains and scared of the next repair. Keep in mind i own 2 used carlots. i understand better than anyone every machine has issues but remember i ride with over 10 rzr's all of us over 40 and ride with our wives/kids. every one of us has had major fails on our polaris's. in fact out of 9 of us 2 have not had "major" issues and neither of those are rzr"s. i have noticed how some guys on here defend ther machine to the end sayinf theyve had no issues. yet i look at other threads where theyve had alot of problems. its sad to me that 5k miles with no repairs is unheard of. and if there is a machine or two that hasnt had any issues with those miles its like a miracle. i am just furious at polaris's quality or lack of. all you guys are very nice and i hope you have no problems but anyone reading this that is wanting a rzr. think twice because im here to say ive been around a lot of them. ive raced MX. raced quads. and raced dirt track. So i understand performance machines needing maintained. however these rzr's are not built correctly. prepare to ride for 4-5 hrs and work on it for 4-5hrs. and prepare for a 12 grand machine to be ready to junk in less than 5 years. think about the 08s on here. is there one that is on the factory untouched drivetrain? 08 polaris seems super old. yet theres 80s model yamahas around everywhere. its no coincidence! anyway, good luck guys i just cannot afford to fix polaris' s. if they make a machine that will last past a few years i will be back for sure because i liked the power the machine had. just too scared to get on it as everything else is so weak. PS. anytime id ask about axle/diff/tranny probs everyones answers were "upgrade this upgrade that". Anyone considering a polaris just take time and readthe forum. you wil see despite all the comments i will get about how awesome their 2013 rzr with 300 miles is. look at the 08s. look at all the insane problems everyone has. i wish i had thought twice. ive lost moreoney on this machine than anything ive had in my life (keep in mind i buy and sell cars and trucks and motorcycles for a living). it is never ending wrh these bikes folks!!
