i know this is not a ranger forum but figured a 700 ranger was close enough engine wise that somebody here would know. my cousins 700 ranger started missing and theu a check engine light so i checked all the easy stuff changed plugs, ohmed wires, air filter,grounds, fuel pressure. when i checked the codes it was a code 22 which from what ive found is the TPS. would this cause a rough idle/miss? i checked the connections and just unplugging a few times seemed to improve the idle. could it be out of adjustment? 1 time you start it and it seems to be idleing slow/rough the next time you have to manually keep it running using the throttle. if you get it to idle it seems like its idling up and down then it will smooth out for a min then go up and down again. thanks for any input guys
