Greetings from NorCal.
Been off-roading for about 35 years.
I joined back in 2007 when I was shopping for my first UTV. Back then I bought a 08 Teryx. After dumping piles of cash into it, and getting it just right, Polaris introduced the XP1000 and my best buddy bought one.
And I made the mistake of going over to his house to see it.
So I've decided to do what most of us do, lose my shorts on the Teryx and go for the XP.
The XP is gonna be my last OHV, I am 55 and there is no reason this one can't last me the rest of my days if I take care of it.
My wife and our gang spend some time in the sand, but we've shifted to other interests out in the high Desert of northern Nevada, exploring the back country and ghost-town hunting is a new way to feed an old passion; the history of the west.
I have always had the go fast disease, and built some pretty fast sand rails back in the day. When you are used to over 600 ponies and under 1600 lbs. a Teryx isn't exactly a thrill, but my wife rides with me a lot more often.
I am gonna hafta be a good boy to keep her in that right seat, and I will try. :D
Our Black Pearl XP should be here in about 3 weeks, and our season starts in spring. I have a lot to learn and a few mods to plan, I look forward to learning and perhaps making some new friends.
