Hi guys,
I just wanted to throw this out there to alleviate some of the pain & frustration on this issue.
Rember, I'm the dealer in St George Utah so I'm posting this to help you guys out. I know we've tried to help many of our customers with this same issue, some successfully and some not. Some machines Polaris has even sent us complete new drivelines that aren't any better than the one we are replacing. We've tried re-phasing per the TSB and everything. On the Two seaters we've even had some success sliding the Carrier bearing all the back in it's slots where it attaches, but you can't do this on the 4seater's.
So after trying to live with my own demo unit driveline noise and vibration I finally got frustrated and tired of waiting for Polaris to fix it!
I took everything appart and took my complete driveshaft to my local drveshaft repair guy. He put it on his machince and spun it and could not believe what he was seeing. Totally out of round and balance!
After reinstalling everything I can't believe how much smoother everything is and feels! Night and day difference!!! It's fixed finally.
I know this is not the greatest news anyone wants to hear about in fixing your new machine, but if your tired of waiting for Polaris or frustrated like me this is how I got it done and wanted to share with all of you. Hopefully Polaris will read this and figure it out SOON!!!
Best of luck on yours and if you need it fixed locally send me a PM my driveline guy charges $99.00 to straighten and balance - both 2seater or 4seater!
