Im new to the forum and RZR world. My neighbors are well more versed in the SxS world. I know nothing about offroad suspension but im learning. . my experience comes from building engines(1000-2250hp), and drag racing suspension.
Cold rattle in my 1000 seems to be an issue like most of the new rzr's. I was getting ready for my 500 mile service and started researching the Polaris oils. consensus was it was overpriced and no equivalent. the Polaris oil is a cheap synthetic that is private labeled. I usually run Klotz in my personal engines but I swapped over to the Royal Purple oils in my RZR because its available locally at orielys and very close to Klotz for quality . cost was around the same as the Polaris oils but the RP oil is in another league. The cold start rattle since has been eliminated.
secondly, I drained my front and rear diffs and found that I was very low on fluids. a couple ounces came out of the front diff. I have no leaks so I believe Polaris had not filled the differentials as they were intended. I filled the front diff , and the rear diff/tranny with RP fluids.
Polaris lubes are made by a generic oil company out of Minnesota called Lubetech
