1K speedo in a 900?????

Anyone know if the 1K speedo will work in the 900?

I'm replacing my plastic to all black as it was crushed along with my dash and thought the 1k blAck speedo would look great.

Also, does anyone know if the speedo or the ECU hold the memory for miles?
