Hey all,
Thought this may help someone, I was riding downhill in low gear, at the bottom maybe at about 20 mph my 800rzr seemed to free wheel. At that time I could not get it to go into low or high gear. I just had reverse so I back out of the woods over two mile while at times it would kick out of reverse. Doesn't seem like a long distance, try it sometime. After a while I was able to get it to start changing gears again. But when I put into low gear sometimes I would have low gear and sometimes it would seem to be in neutral. If I had low gear as soon as I went to slow down I would lose the gear.
What I found was 30, 32, 36 and 37 in the attached photo needed to be replaced. Apparently 36 jumped over 37 which allowed the low gear to move freely up the shaft with an outcome of no low gear.
Hope this helps someone with low gear problems.
I believe this is why you shouldn't run over 10 miles per hour in low gear. It's not because the rzr will not, but, because low gear is not designed to with stand those speeds. Any other opinions on this?
