We are currently installing my stage two cams. After getting everything unbolted and we got the engine to true top center( the tech said something like that)we looked into the crank case sensor hole for the timing mark.... It wasn't there. We later found out after speaking to Alba that Lazy Polaris used 2012 flywheels with the 2013 model xp! So now we have to buy a gasket and take the stater cover off. Is this the correct thing to do? Any input would be great.
Two questions:
Does the timing mark on the 2012 flywheels sit at 9 o'clock?
Shouldn't this be a warranty issue? The crank case censor hole is what is used for the timing mark. If they used a faulty product, the fly wheel (the time mark is not where it should be), then they should have to replace it.
