My 50" RZR front KYB shock upgrade.

Heres some pics of my Can AM ds450 shock upgrade for the front of my 50" RZR. Due to the extra length of the KYB shocks, I had to fabricate some brackets. I went ahead and welded the brackets to the stock shock mounting points and put a bushing and bolt in them for extra rigidity. I also welded 10mm large washers on the end of the brackets where the shock mounts for extra rigidity also. The brackets are kind of on the same concept as those cheap 2" bracket lifts that you can get off of Ebay. However, my intention is not to lift it up, but rather compensation for the extra shock length. The total cost was $150 for shocks off of Ebay and around $15 for the steel and fasteners to make the brackets. I already have KYBs on the rear with Honda 700XX springs and they work awesome. I'm taking my RZR to Hatfield McCoy next weekend to see how they do. I'm sure I'm gonna have to play with the Compression/rebound adjustments to get it to my liking. The only downfall to this from what I can tell is that you cant use the stock wheel offset due to the brackets extending out. Other than that, I believe I may have something here!
