Airaid snorkel...need some advice

I've got a 900xp with an airaid intake...I opened it up tonight (checked it a couple of rides ago) and it was caked in mud! Both the filter and the back portion of the air box...luckily the throttle bodies didn't show any sign of dust/mud in them, and the filter did a pretty damn good job in my opinion. The back side of the filter was fairly clean...but it definitely needs a good clean.

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this, and what my options are as far as sealing that airbox or possibly getting another type of airbox...if that option is even available.
