Went on a nice ride today, but got soaked by rain, hail, and mud. RZR and driver were both soaked to the bone. I took it to a car wash to relieve the beat of the clay mud it decided to take home, being mindful of where I sprayed. Jumped in to start and the panel lit up briefly and then flashed and went dead as I attemped to start. Some relays under the dash clicked rapidly at that time and then all was dead on the panel and lights. A buddy came by to give me a hand. We pulled relays and generally looked around to see if something got knocked loose at the various electrical connection, but found nothing suspect. Applied liberal amounts of WD40 to see if that would help, nope. We then jumped the starter solenoid and got her to fire up and run (should be noted that jumping the solenoid did not work till the brake pedal was pushed). Ran around and put a few miles on before parking. Everything worked find. Turned off and then attemped to restart, repeat of original symptoms.
Any ideas on what could be the problem? I'm hoping that some dry time will resolve the issue.
