08/27/13 El Cajon, CA Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports has partnered up with Joe Sylvester Motorsports as the official communications provider for the Bad Habit Monster Truck Racing team. RacerX Motorsports is known for its safety and radio products in the off road industry but is branching out to other markets, Monster Truck Racing to be exact! "We are extremely excited about this new partnership with Joe Sylvester Motorsports; Joe Sylvester is a superstar in the industry" Owner of Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports Kenny Osborn said.
On August 22, 2013, Joe Sylvester announced on his website, Joe Sylvester Motorsports - Home of the BAD HABIT Monster Truck Team that he "will be attempting to make history once again on September 1, 2013 by making another world record jump attempt at the Cornfield 500 in Columbus, Pa. It was a mere 2 years ago when I launched the BAD HABIT Monster Truck into the Guinness Book of World Records by jumping 208ft, breaking a record that stood for over 11 years. It was not long after that jump, that I knew I could push the limits even further and wanted to take monster truck distance jumping to a new level."
"Now, two years later, we will return to the same site as the last jump and utilize the exact same ramp to push the Rigid Industries BAD HABIT monster truck to another new world record. We have been making speed test runs and trying out some new gearing in the truck to help achieve the maximum speed it will take to propel the 10,000 lb truck hopefully into the mid 200ft range. With the final speed test run this week, we have a lot of confidence going into next weekend that we will once again come out victorious" Sylvester continued.
"Rigid Industries, the leader in LED Lighting technology, is standing behind us to help make this jump possible as is KMC Wheels. Watch for a teaser video to be released within the next week on YouTube with an official record jump attempt video being released shortly after the jump. This is a 3 day live event and tickets are available at the gate. Come out and enjoy some crazy mega mud truck action, car racing, freestyle motocross, music and fireworks at night, then cap the weekend off with a 10,000 lb truck flying over 200ft through the air!"

Joe Sylvester's passion for anything with a motor started back when he was about 5 years old. Growing up around his family's construction company, Joe was always fascinated with heavy machinery, dirt bikes, and of course, monster trucks. Always an adrenaline junky, he participated in every type of motor sport he could throughout his teen years from motocross to drag racing, to go-karts. Although, his passion was always monster trucks and every truck he owned was lifted.
In 2005, Joe worked around the professional monster truck industry and at the beginning of 2006, decided to put together his own professional monster truck team. At only 28 years old, Joe Sylvester is the youngest independent professional monster truck driver and team owner in the country. After competing all over the country and abroad for 2 years, with the help of Boardman Steel, Joe decided to build a brand new truck for the 2009 season.
With a new truck, dedicated crew, and supportive sponsors, Joe Sylvester was ready for another exciting season behind the wheel of BAD HABIT!
